Staging Consultations
Often friends or agents are reluctant to tell sellers what they really think because they
don't want to offend the seller - we totally understand! However, the fact is that sellers
need honest answers, and help and that's what we are here for.

A Staging Consultation is the
FIRST STEP in getting to the closing table.  When we live in a
house for a while, we tend to overlook the obvious, because the way we live works for us.  
However, buyers don't want to see what works for us, they want to see what can work for
them.  When you bring
Champagne Staging in for a Staging consultation, we look at the
property with the eyes of a buyer, and talk about such things as:

  •  Curb Appeal - A MUST in this challenging market!

  •  Furniture Placement & Traffic Flow

  •  Clutter Control (you'd be surprised what is clutter and what is not)

  •  Obvious repairs and minor updating -- a necessary evil because buyers  never want
          to "buy work."         

  •  Paint & Wallpaper issues (these can make or break a sale)

  •  Cleaning (and we mean serious deep cleaning, sorry!)

  •  Survival skills for selling a house with pets or small kids.

  • We schedule the 60-90 minute consultation, usually within in a
    few days.  (None of this 2 week wait stuff).  Most houses do not
    need longer than 90 minutes unless they are over 5,000 sq. ft.

  • When we arrive, we will take photos in case there are questions
    later on.

  • We are very friendly and share our knowledge & experience with
    the seller to make sure they know exactly what they have to do
    to make the most money possible!  (We've softened up even the
    gruffest, most reluctant sellers!)

  • We will do some light staging to get the seller started and to
    show them how easy it is!

  • We will talk specifics with the seller - we just don't hand over a
    generic "check list" of things to do.  (The sellers take notes
    because we have found that people remember better when they
    write themselves).  We will prepare a report of our findings
    and email it to both the agent and seller.

  • We are available afterwards if the seller or agent has any
    questions about things we talked about.  (We just don't walk out
    and leave you hanging).
